Fetish 11 of Ms Darq
What do you do in daily life?
I am self-employed, working in the health field. It’s a challenging and diverse area and I love it.
What got you into latex?
It all started with Olivia Newton John wearing shiny tight spandex in Grease back in the late 1970s. As a young girl I was captivated by how alluring that sexy outfit was, the way it hugged her curves. She was clothed, but her body and shape were absolutely on display. In my late teens and twenties I dabbled in lycra and PVC but it was the flood of images and online stores in the late 90s where I first saw women in latex and that kick started my love of it.
How long have you been into latex?
Over 20 years now. I got my first item around 2001.
How often do you rubber up?
I try to in the weekends but it’s not always possible. I would love to be able to every weekend and once or twice in the week. It’s always much more fun to do with others, especially with Rob-Dog (My submissive), than it is on my own. But mostly it is a solo event. I am hoping that will change.
Talc or lube?
Lube all the way. Talc is great after washing and when storing latex, but I love the feel of sliding into latex with lube.
Who knows about it?
Mostly it is my kinky friends. There are a few vanilla people in my life who know I wear latex, some know a bit more than others, but most don’t now that I wear it because I have a fetish.
How do people react to it?
Some people love it and are interested in what it is, and some think I am a bit out there. Mostly people don’t react. The city I live in is has a pretty inclusive attitude and people can often get away with wearing what they want. I often wear casual latex out shopping or to a bar, with no problems. I live in New Zealand and latex wearing is not as common as it is in Europe or North America. This is because of the high shipping costs to get latex sent here, which often makes it prohibitive.
First and last item you bought?
I remember the first item I bought very well. I was so excited, and nervous about the fit. I recall taking ages to do the order because I was worried it would not look good. It was a black corsolette from Westward Bound back in the day when they did a really wide range of kinky clothing.
The most recent purchase was in fact a number of items to create a complete outfit I have been working on putting together for a fetish event here. It included a plum custom made catsuit, a plum and black harness hood, a plum and black hood, and a heavier corset with leg straps.
Your favourite item or outfit?
Favourite outfit is a catsuit, hood, corset, with a gasmask and rubber boots. A tight catsuit and hood is my absolute favourite thing to wear! I love the full body aspect of it. The way it seals and transforms the body.
What or how does your fetish add to your life?
The full encasement and tightness of latex is a wonderful thing. The feeling of zipping up (better is to be zipped in!), the way it transforms and accentuates my shape, is sublime. It makes me something else both physically and mentally. At that point, i become my true latex self, free of the human mask that I must wear day to day in the vanilla world. I am whatever and whoever I want to be – drone, doll, Queen, alien, Goddess, vampire… the list grows.
When I can’t indulge in wearing latex, it can make me quite frustrated, as if I am not being my authentic self. I feel that a part of me is not getting nurtured and nourished as it needs.
What are your other hobbies?
I think of my love or latex and rubber as part of who and what I am, rather than a hobby. For hobbies, music and keeping fit are my go-to things. And I love to have great times with fun people and friends.
