Fetish 11 of Anon_a_Mouse

What do you do in daily life?

I am semi retired from the construction industry where I was an independent project manager and construction consultant. I still take on some projects to keep my hand in.

My background in the construction industry is that of a carpenter for both commercial and residential projects.

What got me into latex?

My interest in latex/rubber began in my very early teens. I have always been fascinated by and with shiny clothing, especially tight fitting clothing. My discovery of latex was preceded by a general interest in rubber gloves and the feeling of enclosure that they gave and the scent of them. Even at that young age I wondered what it would be like to entirely covered in this material.

What peaked my interest in wearing full coverage latex was entirely by chance and the opportunity to wear a scuba suit/wetsuit at the age of 14. The feeling of being totally covered in rubber was a revelation and quite likely “sealed” my interest in this amazing material.

How long have you been into latex?

What has developed from my initial interest and experience has now become a lifelong passion for latex garments and the associated kinks that is now approaching 4+ decades of living with and wearing this fantastic material.

How often do you “rubber up”?

As often as possible! At least one day a week, more often when time and circumstances allow. As a general practice I like to spend an entire weekend in a latex catsuit, hiding it under my street clothes when I need to go out in public.

Talc or lube?

I much prefer lube for getting in my catsuits and accessories, gloves, socks and hoods. There is a sensual aspect to wearing latex that, for me, begins with the feeling of the rubber sliding over my skin. I’ve found that silicone based lube or dressing aid enhances this feeling and honestly makes the donning of latex much easier. An added benefit of lube is that it mixes well with the inevitable sweat that wearing rubber promotes and allows the garment to slip and slide over skin easily and increases the sensations and sensual effect.

Who knows about it?

This question makes me laugh..sort of. Being a rubberist is not generally accepted outside of those who have an interest in it and is often considered a deviant practice by many, unfortunately.

So outside of a select group of like minded friends and none of my family or working world knows about my attraction to rubber. However I have to laugh because in a very real sense the entire instagram world knows about my affinity for latex. So you could say that no-one and everyone knows about my fetish.

How do people react to it?

I have to admit that I have had very little experience with latex in public spaces. Where I live there is a definite prejudice against anything that looks radically different from the “normal”, so my opportunities to step out in gear is very limited. The few times I have managed to find an event or safe space, the reactions have generally been favourable and often complimentary with many questions related to the material/fabric that can be amusing and interesting. And of course some obvious questions about the sexual nature of the clothing that people often assume are associated with the garments.

First and last item you bought?

My very first actual latex item(s) I purchased were a pair of socks and tight latex shorts. The last item, a shoulder entry catsuit.

Your favourite item or outfit?

Actually this is a difficult question to answer, so much depends on what mood I’m in and/or what I’m doing. Overall I would have to say that my favourite is a catsuit with accessories, socks, gloves and a hood for total enclosure. But..that’s not always practical or possible. If that’s not an option for whatever reason I favour wearing a rubber surf suit in a tank top style with short legs. This can be worn under street clothes without difficulty and is not visible to the public. I try to wear at least one item of rubber every day generally underwear if not the surf suit.

What or how does your fetish add to your life?

Wow what a good question! Where to start? There are so many experiences that have come with embracing this latex fetish that I have trouble separating them from vanilla life.

Perhaps the biggest and best thing about it is that it has allowed me explore different aspects of myself and my life through transformative experiences involving other like minded people who share the same interests and values and this has allowed me to grow as a more complete person. This fetish has also given me a greater understanding  and acceptance of the differences between people not only in real life but especially in the kink world where so often many things are easily misunderstood.

A point I would note here is that the clinical definition of a fetish includes the inability to function without it, be whatever that fetish may be. As deeply involved as I am with this latex fetish it has not and will not prevent me from having a “normal” life. It has merely enriched my life in ways I never imagined.

What are your other hobbies?

I have an interest in art and photography and dabble in both. Woodworking is a hobby that I enjoy and would like to have more time for. I have a keen interest in the automotive world and have been known to tinker with engines and vehicles of all types. I occasionally indulge myself in sports car club racing on a very amateur level.

My thanks to Fetics Fetish for the opportunity to express myself here and share my experiences.
