What do you do in daily life?

I’m a lawyer. Don’t want to be too specific, but I work in family law.

What got you into latex?

I don’t remember where it first started. I’ve always thought it was just through seeing latex in magazines, TV and music videos, that made me gradually develop an interest in the shiny stuff myself.

I have particular memories of music videos by Britney Spears and Liberty X, and (slightly cooler!) the Matrix movies. By the time the 2^nd and 3^rd ones came out, I knew I was into latex.

How long have you been into latex?

See above… but although I’ve been interested in it for years (I created my Fetlife account back in 2015), I only got my first latex in 2018. I didn’t feel comfortable buying my own latex until I had moved out from my parents’ house and had my own place. I’ve definitely made up for lost time since then!

How often do you rubber up?

Fairly frequently, though not as often as some!  On average, probably about every 2-3 weeks.  It depends if there are events on, as I usually dress up for fetish parties.  So I can go for several weeks without wearing latex, then do it a lot when there are a bunch of events in a row! 

Talc or lube?

Almost always lube.  I used to use talc for things like stockings, where lube can pool in the closed feet; but these days I use lube for basically everything, and talc just for storage.  

Who knows about it?

Mostly just friends in the kink/queer scene.  A couple of close ‘real life’ friends know a bit about my interest in latex, though not the full extent of it.  I don’t think my family know exactly, but I expect they have some idea, given how I keep making these mysterious trips to Germany…

How do people react to it?

Overwhelmingly positively, but it helps that I mainly wear it at places where I expect it will be received positively and welcomed.

I have sometimes worn latex in public in more vanilla settings.  It gets odd looks and questions sometimes, but most people are very polite and British and just ignore it!

First and last item you bought?

First was a pair of latex knickers/underpants from Libidex.

Last… I think it was a Libidex catsuit, bought second hand at the FAB shop in London in their closing sale.

Your favourite item or outfit?

I couldn’t pick a favourite outfit, but my single favourite item is probably my pink biker jacket from Antidote London Latex.  It always gets good reactions from others too!

What or how does your fetish add to your life?

I couldn’t understate how much joy and happiness it’s brought me. It lets me express myself, lets me go to fun parties, and has put me in touch with interesting people from all over the world. I think it’s also made me more confident, and definitely helped me to explore my sexuality and gender identity. I don’t know what my life would have been like without it, but I don’t think it would feel like living!

What are your other hobbies?

As though I have time for other hobbies with all these latex events! But I enjoy going to the theatre, museums and art galleries.
